I can hear it now, Cheney is like a hapless chick.

(old joke - sorry if told before)

A guy's wife complains that he never takes her hunting so he finally agrees to do so. They park their SUV at the edge of a small cliff and he tells her to hold the rifle and shoot when she sees any deer. He's going to go down there and frighten them out of the brush. He gets about halfway down the cliff when he hears a shotgun blast followed by his wife screaming "I got one! I got one!"

When the man climbs back up he sees his wife arguing with a man who finally tells her "Look lady, you're right. It's your deer. Okay? Now would you mind if I just removed my saddle from him?"

Did the bullet go through his friggin head, or into his neck and out the bottom of his chin?

Probably traveled down the jawline, just under the skin. The bullet exited and then entered into the forearm.

I have seen a bullet wound to the head with .22 caliber rounds where the bullet encircled the skull 1 1/2 times, just under the skin.

It doesn't happen ever day, but a small caliber bullet traveling along bone, just under the skin, does happen often enough.

Raccoons are great animals. They can be annoying if they get into your stuff, but there are nonlethal ways of dealing with that.

They can even be great pets. Isn't this guy just adorable?

Please don't encourage people to attempt to make pets of racoons. Once they are grown, they become very unpredictable in their behavior. A grown racoon can be one of the meanest animals a person can tangle with.

I have known of a couple of orphaned young racoons made into pets that had to be put down after reaching adulthood. One sunk his front claws and teeth into the hand of its 'master' right down to the bone.

.22 caliber shots spin up and speed up as they enter body mass, there it turns into a ricochet... and break the law of probability. it is common knowledge that better be shot with a big caliber than with a .22

Both my dad and brother had pet raccoons, and only had great experiences.

However, I am aware of that danger, which is why I would not have a pet raccoon myself.

It would have been great if someone had asked him what racoon tasted like and he had replied "kind of a cross between spotted owl and Kalifurnia condor, but only if you fricassee 'em first."
