Former vice-president Al Gore called for an independent investigation of President George W Bush's domestic spying programme, contending the president "repeatedly and insistently" broke the law by eavesdropping on Americans without court approval.

Making these egregious and mendacious remarks on foreign soil makes Algore both seditious and treasonous. Pleading insanity is his only hope.
