Sorry to hear about your husband; I hope that he is doing well now.
We were married 45 years today or maybe the 18th-we always forget. My man is buff and is in fine shape and going strong.
It's always the drunks who think "everyone else does it."
Sadly, they usually believe their foolishness. (After all, they ARE drunk.)
I'm so glad to hear that your husband is in such fine shape. :-)
I tend to agree with most of what he says. Not all, but most.
You may agree, but has he EVER been correct?
I meant to watch the rerun of H&C so I could hear what Morris said about Cheney, but I missed that part. However, I did see enough to believe that Morris may have been about "3 sheets in the wind". His eyes looked puffy and he was not as articulate as he sometimes is. I don't trust Morris, and find him wrong more often than right, when he makes predictions or suggestions.
This seemed like a slip of the tongue from Rush. I'm sure I must have heard him wrong.
yeah, I saw it.
Dick is such an ass.
Seems, since Fox News got the interview w/Cheney, they have been on this story w/ even more determination. . .sort of an 'in your face' reminder to other nets that they 'bagged' Cheney's goose on this one.
OR. . .they are in lockstep with other MSM nets. . .or, 'all' of the above.
Think I will be ill, if Friday brings more of the same; and I suspect it will; and weekend too. (Just in case anyone missed the weeks news)
Since Cheney was not aiming at him, but rather the bird. . .I am wondering if there was enough shot on that trajectory to have killed the bird. . .or did he even shoot the bird. . .so to speak?
Could have made for a better framing of the 'incident'. . .but too late smart, perhaps. . .all the way around on Cheney's accident analysis.
Perhaps, but it's hard to tell, given that Morris hadn't sobered up before his appearance on H&C.
that said; surely Morris did not watch Cheney w/Britt; unless otherwise occupied. . .to come off with the garbage he dropped on Fox News/Sean last night.
As Cheney honestly/legitimately offered, his first concern was Whittington. ..then his family. ..his children et al. . .being notitifed and taken care of. (truly an impossible consideration for this media to grasp. . .)
It would have been great for Whittington family to hear this on CNN or Fox News; before even knowing; and as well, being accosted by media frenzy as they approach hospital. . .cameras in their faces. . .mikes stuck out; trying to 'catch their angst'. . .
YES, the MSM/WhiteHouse Press. . .missed sooooo much on this story. . .the real and extended pain Cheney caused by choosing to hunt that day. . .
OTOH. . .had they reported this immediately or even 2.am. Cheney would have been accused of trying to get this story out. . .late at night; and/or in the middle of the slow, weekend cycle. . .
Seems Morris thinks that bottles of beer might still be sitting on the kitchen table or somesuch, hours later. . .as he sniffed that the Sherriff was DENIED ENTRY(!) - first to farm, according to Morris. .(perhaps, wrong gate to field?) or 'he who was in control of gate' had to check and verify who in fact was at gate. . .at that hour. . .and Sherriff was not DENIED entry; but rather, just had to wait a moment for 'okay'. . .As to house access being denied. . .they perhaps. . .preferred to take him to the SCENE of the accident!
WHATever, am sure this hosting family has enough help to keep the kitchen and clean when having guests on a hunt for the weekend. . .)
That said, souds like Morris needs to find better blogs for his info and analysis. These Lefties get everything wrong. . .because the truth gets them nowhere. . .
You think that Cheney is going to make another careless, inept blunder next week?
The initial comments from the sheriff to the media indicated that not only were his people denied entry, but that he was upset about it.
Originally, the ranch's owner told the press that she had contacted the media without Cheney's knowledge, then the story changed, and the new version was that she had discussed the idea with Cheney, and he had agreed to let her call the local paper.
If this was 1998 instead of 2005, if the shooter's name had been Gore instead of Cheney, if the victim's last name had been Soros instead of Whittington, and everything else remained the same, everyone in this forum would be screaming cover up.
I think that the biggest thing that this incident accomplished, is demonstrating just what tremendous hypocrites people in this forum can be.
One man's partisonship is another man's hypocrisy. Like bigotry it is in the eyes of the beholder to claim in another and felt in the heart of the victim.
We are all guilty of both, including you.
Cover up of what?
A hunting accident!
The ranch owner making confusing or conflicting statements goes more to proving there was no plan or conspiracy to hide something. She is no professional press person or spinner. She is undoubtedly rattled and tired from all the horrible hoopla over this. Anything might come out of her mouth. She could be on medication, lost a lot of sleep, etc.
If VP Cheney wanted to cover up something he would have taken greater care to make sure this thing was handled by a pro and every i dotted and t crossed. But since she has said confusing things and since it has been declared a hunting accident, period, there is nothing to cover up and not a coverer-upper in sight.
The Sheriff? To that I have no answer. I don't know enough to have one. Are we basing all our impressions on MEDIA REPORTS, or were we there ourselves and know exactly what happened each moment and what the Sheriff thought about it???
