"Who in the h--- is allowing this stuff to happen right here in our own backyard, and why?"

Well, if this was a Christian compound, it would have been RENOed back in the Clinton days.

Utterly and sadly true.

"...The report says Jamaat ul-Fuqra members have 'purchased isolated rural properties in North America to live as a community, practice their faith, and insulate themselves from Western culture. The group has established rural encampments that U.S. authorities allege are linked to murder, bombings and other felonies throughout North America..."

"...The group seeks to counter 'excessive Western influence on Islam' through any means necessary, publicly embracing the ideology that violence is a significant part of its quest to purify Islam. The enemies of Islam, the group says, are all non-Muslims and any Muslim who does not follow the tenets of fundamentalist Islam as detailed in the Quran."

Over again, it's stated that the intent is to oppose "Western culture" and to generalize here, North America. And they chose to purchase and proliferate in North America and the U.S. specifically, home to "Western Culture" mostly. That says to me VERY CLEARLY that they have opted to aggress upon an area and a culture that they consider is in opposition to their beliefs, and that they support "any means possible" to accomplish their goals, including violence against those they oppose, who they think oppose them as per the "Quran."

That identifies them loudly and clearly as a group formulated upon terrorist principles and intent. If they wanted to just live "isolated" from "Wester culture," they could opt to move to Tibet or wherever. It's clear that their purpose and plan is one of harm upon Americans, from this article.

Worse, members employed in transportation, financial industry with access to privileged information...and A COMPOUND ADJACENT TO THE WATER SUPPLY OF N.Y.C., my gosh...the Buena Vista, CO location is also a concern to my view, given the ever expanding population in CO of illegal aliens and the trafficking between CO and Mexico...

To state the obvious...

and on that note... I say a snippet of FNC today. something about laser "attacks" on aircraft landing and taking off in Detroit... report indicated that the lasings all came from one neighborhood in Dearborn Heights... iirc, that area is now a bastion of Islam in this country...

makes me wonder... might not be a silly juvenile prank after all.

I agree about the neighbors and fearing making reports. Have experienced that myself in my own neighborhood, after a muslim person moved nearby and ongoing males of "Middle Eastern" type continued to come and go, many living there then not, then others living there, then not...it was concern enough to me to relocate to elsewhere although what can anyone actually report? Fears? Concerns? I never saw that type of behavior before 9/11, is all I can say.

Interesting map. The whole loop is Moslem Road, not just the portion labeled as such on the more zoomed-out map. The compound must be in the clearings to the east of Roods Creek Road (i.e. the more southern Moslem Road).

No, it's not the neighbors not having a backbone, it's their lack of confidence in local law enforcement, AND, that they probably know that their reports would be dismissed as mere concern or fears or even nuttiness by the local police.

What can any neighbor actually report? That people are coming and going? This article describes one clear cut case of the need for federal intervention nationwide on groups who are formulated upon the principle of "violence" and opposition to the U.S. as "culture." I think that's the key thing here, that there's clear intent by the organizaitonal principles alone of this/these groups to destruct the nation. It seems that's the ongoing principle I read by most muslims, unfortunately, to destroy that and whoever that is deemed to be oppositional or even non supportive of islam.

I hate to say it but it's about time to shut down Islam in this country. These swamis need to prove their innocence and their silence doesn't cut it. Otherwise its out the door for them. My tolerance for them is just about zero. I just read something that 60% of the students in a truck driving school in Missouri had middle eastern sur names.

Didn't England recently ban the "preaching" of terrorism?

Think the US should do the same immediately. Then you can begin arresting these groups.

Yes, because as it stands now, there's little for a "neighbor" to do as to complaining about groups or even compounds such as these, unless there's some vandalism or assault involved...private property, people can fire weapons and such and neighbors can't do a heck of a lot about it except be ridiculed for complaining.

I think I understand the neighbors' remarks, is my point...they're confounded that the nation has allowed these groups to remain and enrich themselves. To my read here, it's clear that their purpose is to destroy others.

maybe we should let them do the leftists before we take em out, or is that just too mao-like? Oh well, what a crazy world...hey remember when no one gave a damn about muslims? The good ole days before this satanic cult barged into my daily routine. The day will come when they are passe'. They are boring as hell noe.

There are not a lot of laws on the books that keep people from training. US authorities have to get them on something else and that could take time.

Are we talking Bill Clinton's "midnight basketball" program here?
