Cheney as Toast: Democrats Burning Down the House
The WAll Street Journal ^ | February 17, 2006 | DANIEL HENNINGER

Posted on 02/17/2006 7:39:20 AM PST by presidio9

Some say Dick Cheney is toast. He's too hot to handle, throw him over the side if he won't drop himself into the waves. Don't look now, but that isn't water surrounding the Bush ship of state. It's gasoline. The issue titled "Dick Cheney" is just one of many embers.

Have you ever noticed how on a scale of one to 10, every untoward event in the life of the Bush presidency goes straight to a 10?

The Abu Ghraib photos? A 10 forever. Dick Cheney catching a hunting buddy with some birdshot? An instant 10. The Bush National Guard story? Total 10. How can it be that each downside event in this presidency greets the public at this one, screeching level of outrage and denunciation by the out-of-power party and a perpetually outraged media?

Obviously Scooter Libby, Karl Rove, green aliens, black helicopters, the CIA, crack cocaine, PNAC, and Diebold are all involved in this coverup 1,000,000 times worse than Watergate.

MurryMom, you are a nut

Why the vice president of the U.S. should suddenly worry about not being believed is beyond me

Because he understands the mentality of the MSM. He's a smart man. And wise too. He' probably the best VP this country has ever been blessed to have serve.

What if, right after FR surfaced as a force in the Clinton impeachment period, a bunch of people signed up as democrat sympathizers and stayed mostly under cover until...about now?

No MurryMom's not joking she really is that delusional. She's been making whacko moonbat comments since '98 and hopefully she will be around for a long, long time to keep us all entertained.

We wish you nothing but the best MurryMom but please keep up with your meds so the Dr's will let you play with us.

Why do you liberals have to have your noses up everyones asses?

It wouldn't be so bad if they would stop at "noses"...

The Chappiquiddic thing is being FORCED back with this.

I got an email this a.m. with the "Word of the Week":
"I'd rather go hunting with Dick Cheney than ride with Ted Kennedy".

That's a caustic replay from the Nizon days when the Libs were posting Nixon's picture and asking "Would you buy a used car from this man?" They stopped when someone said, "No, and I wouldn't ride in one driven by Ted Kennedy".

Just once, Dear God, I'd love to see some conservative who is being grilled by the senate and told by Ted that he's not in the mainstream, reply, "I'd be careful of that metaphor Senator, for yours passes under a pretty odious bridge". It would be fun to see Ted's veins swell and pop.

Taranto had a wonderful analogy, comparing Democrats to Wiley Cayote who would buy a new gadget (outrage about something) from ACME each week, absolutely guaranteed to catch the Roadrunner (Bush). Each of these gadgets would fail, the Roadrunner always escaping, and Wiley Cayote winding up as a puff of dust at the bottom of a cliff. Beep! Beep!

I can think of only one rational answer to Cheney's question: something else happened and the current story is a cover-up.

Do you have anything whatsoever to back this up, or are you just scandal-mongering as usual because you hate this aadminstration?

The fact that you were even able to conjure up one single scenario speaks volumes as to the improvements you’ve made regarding your limited mental capacity.

Congratulations. I remember when swallowing your own saliva was too mentally taxing for you.

It still is. But her kids rigged up one of those dental suction devices up next to the computer so she can post without shorting out the keyboard.
