Seriously, why do they keep you around here? Unfortunately, MurryMom will never get banned. She's an old-timer who "claims" she supports balanced budgets and meat-and-potato conservative issues. She just doesn't like Republicans.
Personally, I kind of enjoy her company. We could use the target practice, and every organization has it's bad apple (Cue the Little Rascals' "No Girlz Allowed" sign)...

I'm proud of Cheney's drunken, womanizing shootout in Texas! And even prouder he mooned the NYT and NBC over it. He should bring that shotgun to a press conference or the senate when he must go there.

Howdy Mom. Yep, it looks like you're onto the whole ruse all right. Whittington knew too much and had to be rubbed out by birdshot from a 28-gauge in front of a dozen witnesses. And you know what? Cheney got away with it! There is no limit to our power now...
You might try breathing into a paper bag when this sort of thing happens. What it does is replace the CO2 you lose when you hyperventilate. Glad to help.

The common man/woman says: "It was an accident, The VP is sorry for it, the guy who got shot says it was an accident and he holds no grudge"
The liberals say: "Conspiracy!"

Why the vice president of the U.S. should suddenly worry about not being believed is beyond me, especially given his routine and very bold use of distorted information and outright falsehoods about national security threats. Name them. Provide specific details.
I can think of only one rational answer to Cheney's question: something else happened and the current story is a cover-up.
I wanted to ask Mary Jo Kopechne how she felt about your post, but she was not available for comment.

OOps, I see you responded to finny's request for examples. Funny how you cited plural "falsehoods" but only provided one example. Funny how you provided an example that was clearly not an intentional falsehood, but a mistake made by thousands of other people, including your hero, Bill Clinton.
If Clinton said that Saddam had WMD in his arsenal and would eventually use them, and he's the greatest living president, then why is Cheney a liar for believing and saying the same thing?

You are absolutely right, MurrayMom. Karl Rove pulled off a brilliant coup last week by having VP Cheney almost kill a hunting companion so that the slavering dogs in the msm would be thrown off the scent, as usual. Now all you have to do is figure out what really went on last week. It's bound to have been something BIG. Call Pelosi and Reid. I'm sure they are hot on this story.

When the VP made that comment, I saw it as a sort of "mental shrug" like "So?" People who have no sort of life are still picking apart every syllable of the VP's interview.
