If the Federal government passed a law prohibiting foreign-owned companies from operating terminals at U.S. ports tomorrow, this country would probably grind to a halt within 48 hours.

Here is the stupid thing; during the Cold War the Defense Dept. had the authority to block transfer of technology deals with hostile foreign governments. This authority was transferred under in the 90's to the Treasury Dept. who had a lower threshold, thus sending weapons technology to China and other countries. And now Frau Klinton thinks this deal should not go through?

I don't think it should go through either, but the hypocrisy of Hillary is astounding.

You mean this is just like the story about the boy who cried wolf???? No it couldn't be.. all of our ways into this country are run by red-blooded American citizens who would do everything in their power to prevent a terrorist attack. (sarc off).

(In reality)

Basically this a bunch of people blowing smoke. Just because the port is owned by a foreign company doesn't mean what little inspections we do will stop.

It just means it's foreigned owned. It's not like if the owners were Americans' they could stop people from being bribed or would be beyond contempt at having lax security issues.

All I hear is a bunch of crybabies.
