Hell, I'm all for cutting off ALL Federal grants and funds that go to this left-wing indoctrination center for lower learning!

Anyone that saw the Foxnews segment where students were calling "Pappy" a murderer, and "we already got 'nuff statues of rich white men", or where "real" heros are glorified in bronze... like the statue honoring COMMUNISTS that fought against Spain, would not want one thin dime to be given to such an anti-American University.

Actions have consequences!

"There really isn't any major rival in the Pacific Northwest."

That may be so. However, from the border on down to the South, the wacko fagbags are West of the mountains. Once you get to the East of the mtns, both the climate and the people improve dramatically. Therefore, why not memorialize Pappy at some uni in Spokane: it's on the right, not the left, side of the state?

I saw the morons also.

They are probably a bunch of spoiled kids who never had to sacrifice for anything in their miserable little lives.

Well, there's always Gonzaga...what does "clout" have to do with the quality of the education?

I graduated from the Gonzaga Engineering School in 1980. At the time, we were unaccredited, but a tough program to get through. UW, on the other hand, was accredited but facing probation.

I strongly disapprove of the liberal slope GU is sliding down, but I'd match them up against the Dawgs any day.

btw, a great number of current Business leaders, politicians, Military Leaders and sports greats are Gonzaga products. Of what population basis is this UW "majority" a "majority"?

Not entirely true. The Kitsap Peninsula and parts of Tacoma tend to have a lot of conservatives due to the large military presence. While I'm not a Washington native (I originally came from Montana), I've come to believe that a roughly 60 mile radius around the city of Seattle (obviously excluding parts of Tacoma and the Kitsap Peninsula enclosed) contains the vast majority of liberal fruitcakes in the state. If it weren't for the western half of King county I think Washington would be a very conservative state.

Mostly a Seattleocentric view. I'm just saying what I'm seeing. I'm not a Washington native so my view is perhaps less knowledgeable (but perhaps more objective) that a native Washingtonian. But as far as I can see, every major business in the state tends to be strongly affiliated with UW (like Microsoft and Boeing). Even when I lived in Kitsap County (for my stint in the Navy) I noticed a strong influence.

Btw, I very much respect Gonzaga. I hear great things about its law program. My brother once considered going there.

I strongly disapprove of the liberal slope GU is sliding down, but I'd match them up against the Dawgs any day.

Well, Gonzaga certainly has the advantage of not being in the liberal capital of the northwest. I would imagine that the amount of opposition to changes in Gonzaga would be trivial compared to what would be needed to change UW. In my opinion, the only way to change UW is to change Seattle.

Cut off all Federal grants and funds that go to UW. Cut of all funds that go to the city of San Francisco. No money for a University that has a memorial honoring commies, but hates "Pappy"! No more money for the hate America, Military free zone of fruitsville! Screw them all!
