How old is your son, and how long he had Celiac?

It really helps to know someone else that is going through the same things that we are.

My husband is also blind, so I have to do it all. It is really a hassle, but he is healthy and not in the grave, which is where he would have been in just a few days if we had not discovered what the problem was. It was amazing how fast that he recovered. After six pints of blood and a week or so on the diet, he was almost like new.

My son is a 12 year old T1 diabetic. We discovered the Ceilac disease about 2.5 years ago when he was being evaluated by a neurologist for migraines. (The diabetes came later) Boy, that's putting it mildly! He had one big migraine for four straight years. At the age of 8 he told me that he was going to kill himself to get away from the pain. (*That* will make a mother's blood run cold.)

To top it off, he had symptoms of autism. (Those went away after just two weeks on the diet.)

Yes, they bounce back fast! Just stop giving them poison and they do really well! loL!

Do you really not know anyone else with this problem? You may FReep me any time. I've got some good tips for the novice as far as *easy* daily cooking goes.
