There was plenty of news......the media chose to ignore it so they could bash Cheney.

Really disturbing thing to me was my insurance card I am required to carry in my car came and it is bi lingual for the 1st time.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....seeming as how the purpose of carrying that card is to be able to show police officers your proof of insurance.....I tend to think that police officers who don't read English would not be a very good or safe idea.....

I have to agree with gov........I can understand why Michael Douglas would go looking for more "substance"....I had never heard her on TV before, only read her articles.

She was just so flat and emotionless. There was no spark in her eyes, no change of expression on her face.......she looks and sounds like a robot. I am a "real" woman, and real women show emotion and know how to have some fun. I think she lacks the ability to really live, which explains why she is still single.

The media is good at "sock-puppet journalism".

Media: "Oooh look at Mr. Puppet" (Quick, hide the relevant stories)

Re CSPIN - the channel that maintains they do not have viewer numbers because they are not a commercial channel - they are advertising on buses and taxis in DC. What is that for?

Oh, yes, they have taken a political stance!

Best MTP I've seen in ages! A few thoughts...

Quote: "David, it strikes you odd because you live in a parallel universe." Our Mary to David Gregory.

Quote: "Maureen Dowd, Diva of the Smart Set" Our Mary filleting MoDo.

It really is healthy to laugh that hard this early in the morning...

One more thing. It's pretty obvious that MoDo has "Had a little work done", isn't it?? She must be shooting botox by the pint, because it doesn't look like her pupils even dialate any more...

You will have to catch the replay on line or on whatever NBC cable outlet is not showing olympic coverage as is was on early in the other time zones because of the olympics.

I get the impression it was that and from then they started making Haliburton references.

IMHO though I feel the VP was right not to disclose who he was talking with. As Cheney said how in future would you ensure that these top executives were willing to talk to the administration if they thought their names would be blazed all over the media.

Yeah, me too! I was hollering and yelling this morning at the TV and just so proud of Mary for the way she handled herself. I'm glad my wife is out of town or she would have thought I was crazy the way I was screaming and hollering this morning. Only thing that I can't understand about Mary is, why in the world did she marry that bald headed jerk she lives with? Only God knows!

That would go with my theory I put forth yesterday: the bean counters are trying to staunch the flow of red ink which the Olympics are causing (they had to make ad money to advertisers due to low ratings). Any reporter-dweeb who calls attention to himself by acting like a jerk and alienating viewers is going to come under the microscope of the higher-ups.
