Surprise, Russert asks Chertoff if he ever considered stepping down.

great post on what's NOT being covered, but should be

This is becoming one of the most telling things about the collapse of the dinosaur media.

The one in front actually looks a little bit like Timmy and, as usual, they're all looking away from what's actually happening

Has Bayh announced he's running for president yet?

Normally I watch the repeat of Fox News Sunday in the evening, but I feel compelled to see what Evan Bayh, my senator, is up to. I know he is running for president, and he is dangerous.

Linsey Graham saying nice things about Bayh.

Bayh is in the studio, Graham remote. Both on at once.

I don't get Timmy's show until 10:30. Sounds like more must not see TV.

Funny, admn. is sending Chertoff to talk about media favorite - Katrina, while dem.polsters are warning the dems. that Katrina is NOT their winning topic and majority people don't think it 's important for them.

Evan Bayh was actually reasonable on discussing the Cheney hunting accident -- he said that is exactly what it was "an accident". He silently criticized Pelosi for her over the top remarks, and said lets move on. He also supports the NSA eavesdropping program, sort of. Yup, he is running for President and trying to show he has the strength to be a good leader on terrorism. Chris is doing a good job questioning him and pointing to all the stupid remarks made by democratic leadership. Wallace is really growing on me as a good interviewer. I'm looking forward to the round table today; hoping for a good slap-down of Juan! :-)

Ouch! Wallace just nailed Bayh on the Patriot Act. Brought up Reid's comment that he had killed it. Pretty good one IMHO

I've been fine - just busy. Had to sub Th/Fri so I missed Tony. Thankfully I have Rush 24/7 - just need the time to listen.

One granddaughter turned 12 yesterday - so PARTY TIME!!! Probably the last for anything doll related.

Oh, brother. "Being tough isn't enough when fighting terorists," sayas Bayh. "We have to be tough AND smart."

Gag me with a spoon. He has repeated that "tough and smart" phrase twice.

Wallace immediately picks up on the implication that Bush is "tough and dumb." Asks Graham about it, and he does a commendable defense of the President.

I switched channels to watch FNS. Sen Bayh seems to be more sneaky than most of us realize. I guess he gets his directions from Dean and Soros. He is way left of center.

Unbelievable. Russert highlights the Prez saying "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job." Chertoff says, look, it was just an effort to buck up the troops, which any sensible person knows. Russert says wasn't it an attempt to spin this to the American people? LOLOL. He's not just evil, he's dumb.
