Linday Graham on FNC: Agreement to make FISA more flexible with broad congressional oversight.

(Well, that won't work. We already see what Congress does with oversight. Judith Miller leaked to an Islamic charitable group that they were about to be raided and we can just guess where she got THAT little tidbit).

LOL... I just got through C-SPAN to the call screener and they asked what my question was.

I said that "when we get hit again, we won't need a commission because we have video of people like this man here who are more concerned with the rights of terrorists than protecting our country. Iran is bragging about how many suicide bombers they have, going for Nukes, we have Sadaam tapes talking about how easy it would be for a nuke car bomb to go off in DC, and yet they are all worried about shutting down Guantanamo"

Snarky women replied "*sigh*... we're talking about Guantanomo... *click*"

I always wondered why CSPAN was so liberal sounding... I just figured the viewership was more left, but I guess some of it is the screening.

I think that W expects his people to provide results that he wants. Those that don't, are not around long.

The one place I want to see something done is illegal immigration. I wish that he wanted something done, too.

Graham: We need judicial review if we're going to follow Americans around because otherwise at some point mistakes will be made.

Bayh: There are technological changes that have taken place in 30 years so we need changes. But I don't see why we can't make changes and also protect Americans.

(Maybe because if Americans are talking to Al Qaeda, they don't deserve protection. We need protection from THEM).

Bayh is VERY sneaky. He talks moderate, but always votes with the Rats. Voted against impeachment, against the PBA bill, against confirmation of Condi Rice, against Roberts and Alito.

Some moderate!

Well, I know he says he supports the Patriot Act, the WOT, NSA eavesdropping and so on, but for some reason, I cannot trust the man.

I've lost count of the number of times Bayh has said "we have to protect this country".

The only thing I trust Congress to do is screw things up. They can't make a ham sandwich much less run this great country of ours.

Fox and Friends spent less than 5 mins. this morning on this story, I doubt others will mention it at all.

Ex-Official: Russia Moved Saddam's WMDs

Ex-Official: Russia Moved Saddam's WMDs

A top Pentagon official who was responsible for tracking Saddam Hussein's weapons programs before and after the 2003 liberation of Iraq, has provided the first-ever account of how Saddam Hussein "cleaned up" his weapons of mass destruction stockpiles to prevent the United States from discovering them.

"The short answer to the question of where the WMDs Saddam bought from the Russians went was that they went to Syria and Lebanon," former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense John. A. Shaw told an audience Saturday at a privately sponsored "Intelligence Summit" in Alexandria, Va. (www.intelligencesummit.org)

"They were moved by Russian Spetsnaz (special forces) units out of uniform, that were specifically sent to Iraq to move the weaponry and eradicate any evidence of its existence," he said.

Shaw has dealt with weapons-related issues and export controls as a U.S. government official for 30 years, and was serving as deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security when the events he described today occurred.

He called the evacuation of Saddam's WMD stockpiles "a well-orchestrated campaign using two neighboring client states with which the Russian leadership had a long time security relationship."

(Excerpt) Read more at newsmax.com ...

This basically shoots down the whole "there were no WMDs in Iraq" argument, but not let facts get in the ways of politics.

FNC: Dubai Arab group taking over 6 ports.

Evan: We need to look into this and make sure our national security is being protected. We have to, even if it costs us a few extra bucks, make sure that our ports are secure. Need Congressional investigation.

Lindsey: We should investigate it; don't know if we need to block it. Politically tone deaf to give a group that wants to destroy Israel a key role in our port security. But I don't want to make a judgment without the facts. We want free trade but want to maintain the infrastructure ourselves.

And Russert is a fraud as well; I have called his office and left him a voice mail in the past telling him just that. I have written to the studios requesting that they fire Russert due to his incompetence. As I have said in the past, and I'll say again today, I hope that Libby's lawyers are taping all the MTP shows because they will have a wealth of information to demonstrate the Russert is a liar. I don't watch Russert's show anymore....he makes my hair hurt with his ridiculous statements.

The less Congress knows about HSA and their business, the better. For those Congressmen/Senators who have knowledge of what goes on, I sure hope they are carefully monitored, 24/7.
