The insanity of suggesting that every ship ought to line up, like we do at the airport, for inspecttion.

Goods would be delayed for an unacceptable amount of time.

Would we board every ship, open every container?

All this bullshipping about the ports is simply a case of wanting money money money and more money.

Hannity loses me every time he rolls out (his good friend) that vile POS Charles Rangel and basically lets the man spew uncontested lies. Sean either doesn't have the facts to refute CR, has the facts and isn't sharp enough to call on them at the proper time or is too nice to swat the piece of vermin. These thing he calls shoot outs are nothing more than arguments where Sean regularly gets his a$$ handed to him. IMO, nothing is gained by having people like Rangel in his show.

Rangel is close to the studio and Hannity already knows what to expect, and plays well in the N.E./ WABC is a huge affiliate for Sean. All that said Rangel sucks for the rest of the country. I know what you mean.

My first reaction is to say read other posts. But, I'm beyond that.

Look. If we trust Bush & Co. to do the right thing, this clearly falls into that category. Before I demonize Bush & Co., I'll listen to all the information and try to keep an open mind.

I've seen some of your past posts, and you have every reason to be cautious and concerned. Me too, for that matter.

Still, I'll wait for more information. Darn it, these things crop up and we react before learning more about it. No offense meant, but I'll wait for more information.

We sent Season 2 of 24 with Keifer Sutherland to Kirkuk some time ago, along with over a 100 other DVD's. We've stocked Bagram in Afghanistan and Baghdad with over 100 movies, etc. but they don't have any of the 24 series.

We're stocking Mosul and the bases along the border border with Syria now. I think the soldiers and Marines there are more into escapist series like Desperate Housewives up where the fighting is still going on than than are into scary movies with physical jeopardy, but that's just my impression.

I've been sending more lighter fare these last few months.

Lovely Lindsay does always appear to just have starred in a Bevis and Butthead episode. Just took a look at Mara--she forgot to wear her lipstick or comb her hair. She did rub up against a tube of lipstick however, pretty bad looking even for a rat.

When the Fox Sunday show went to the first panel segment...Chris asked what they all thought was the reason the Cheney hunting accident was such a huge story this week..

and Brit disappointed me, when he blurted out..."it was a slow news week"...

BAH...it was NOT a slow news week...and we freepers have enumerated the number of big stories that were seemingly ignored because of the Cheney story...

Brit, Brit...don't fall into "media mentality"..please!

Dang...Chris Wallace just said that "one of the things I love about this story....is it gives a free shot by the dems to the White House about going right on national security"...

jeez, could he be a little more discreet in his desire to see the White House pummeled??

I am referring to the Buchananites among us who know nothing about the Port issue, yet have formed an opinion anyway. They always fall back to the "its from the middle east, so it must be wrong" crowd. They know nothing about Dubai or how it's people and organizations feel about America. They said nothing about the fact that Brits were, are, and will be managing the same port operations as before, but now that they will be working under Dubai ownership, it is now a bad idea. They don't know that port operators don't have anything to do with port security, or that the issue has even been vetted already to determine whether or not there are any security issues to be concerned about. Some are even taking the media story hook line and sinker, and believe that we actually sold our ports to the UAE. Very few FReepers are taking the time to educate themselves on the issue prior to sharing their views on it. They don't even care that they are being used by Democrats so that they can appear tough on National Security, if it would mean that they would be wrong with their initial (and I stand by RACIST) attitude about this deal.

Understood. It's still Hannity's call. I don't care if he repeats every liberal guest he's had over the past year. As long as he continues to support the conservative line, and as long as he continues to change hearts and minds, I could care less how repetitive or redundant he becomes.

The News cycle moves too fast for the old Magazine Print Media, by the time they have their stories, the public has moved on.IMHO this is the post of the day...The old media print Magazines are losing more and more circulation to Cable/Satellite shows, and On-line New Media. I do not read magazines at all anymore, especially Newsweak,Time, etc. It is like Evan Thomas' Communist Grandaddy is the editor for all of them. There is so much advertisement in these publications it is very hard to pick your way through the ads for the story.

I just watched the panel...discussing the port subject as well as the UN coming out and saying that we have to close Gitmo

I must say, that I was disappointed in Brit again..as well as the rest...but, I don't expect much from them..

Brit said that all of these subjects are trouble for Bush..and even said that Bush is "going to have to do something about Gitmo"...mentioning how BAD it is for Bush..

These people STILL don't understand fly-over country, do they?

Regular Americans couldn't care less if the terrorists in Gitmo stay there...and think the UN has NO right to tell US what do do...when the UN was too chicken to even help in Iraq...

Color me frustrated!!!
