I think at some point there will emerge a counter-media, one that truly strives for either objectivity OR, failing that, since it's such a quaint, unglamorous position, people will simply get their news from even more disparate sources. It always amuses me to see people on FR call FOX liberal because they don't automatically carry water for the Administration. I believe FOX is run by conservatives who are reporting the news--that doesn't necessarily mean BIASED conservatives who are reporting the news.

FOX's position is clearly not the same as the rest of the MSM, and anyone who dismisses the body-blow FOX's existence has struck against the media is deluded. The fact that the rest of the media snarkily refer to FOX as they do only proves that the rest of the media are all in bed together. (Someone posted a cartoon of a republican elephant in bed with a woman labelled FOX and in the next bed, a republican donkey is in the sack with CBS, CNN, ABC, NBC, NYT, etc, all of whom are shouting "Slut!" at FOX. Sums it up perfectly.)

The MSM are dying as the sole interpreter of the facts, and they know it, and anyone denying it is whistling past the graveyard.

I missed that picture, I bet it was a doozy.
