I read this earlier this morning....to me it sounds like the DLC has already conceeded the 2006 elections, and they are determined to move against pelosi and Reid HARD after Novemeber..

In yet another stinging critique of the Democrats' liberal wing, DLC founder and chief executive Al From said his party could lose this year's midterm elections if it continues sending a message to voters that it is weak on national security issues in the war on terrorism.

The message is true. Democrats are weak on national security and the war on terror.

What this really boils down to is whether they will win the next election. They have no enduring principles at all. That is a difficult concept to grasp. My parents taught all of us that we were to stand for something. It included politeness, respect for others, know right and wrong, and do what is right. Remain steadfast, and see things through. Don't change horses in the middle of the stream.

Those things no longer matter to Democrats, and to a lot of republicans, school administrations, the media above all, Hollywood, where so many wholesome and inspiring movies were made in the first three quarters of the last century, and to a lot of just plain people who have grown tired of resisting or never learned to in the first place.
