The former US President Bill Clinton says dialogue is the best way to resolve the underlying tensions which led to racially motivated riots in Cronulla two months ago.
Mr Clinton spoke on a number of controversial topics during his visit to Sydney today.
He addressed 700 people who paid almost $2,500 each to hear him at a business conference.
Mr Clinton had this advice about moving forward after the Cronulla riots:
"Get people together and talk beyond the superficial and to really have contact, and find out they have more in common that what separates them," he said.
He also condemned the cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed, which caused widespread unrest after being published in Europe.
He says the number of troops in Iraq should be reduced and replaced with more specialised forces that are deployed to safer areas.
But he says troops should not be withdrawn altogether, because the country could disintegrate and become a hotbed for terrorists.
The MSM's lust for this guy is grotesque. Every word he says is reported. He is the MSM's Alternate President.
Maybe they could take him to see some saltwater crocodiles. He could be addressing them, and hopefully with better results.
Why didn't Clinton visit New Zealand instead of Australia? I am sure he and Helen Clark would have hit it off well.
Well he may know something about rape just maybe not gang rape.
I wonder if there is a saltwater croc called Monica to entertain him?
I have a sick feeling some rich atrocity loving muslims are paying him wads of cash to say some of the things he has been saying lately. Him and Gore.
Helen Clark and her cliques denounced Clinton over Kosovo and Sudan bombing in 1998 (and if my memory was correct, also over the Nato bombing campaign in November 1995). The Clintons were (and still are) regarded as a little bit too right-wing for NZ Left's tastes.
The Kiwis have really gone down hill in a big way.
Wherever you look, the Left are playing right into the hands of the Muslim extremists.
Clinton is an embarrassment.

Well, he does have a personally interest in seeing that rapists are let off the hook...
NZers might still be PO'd about Clinton's choice of Carol Mosely Braun as his ambassador to them.
Amazing that there are 700 people in Australia with $2500 that they are willing to spend in order to listen to Billy Jeff make useless mouth noises.
Of course Billy Jeff was always good at making mouth noises, just not good at anything useful.
And pass up seventeen grand for his "jug wine and whore" fund? Never.
Whoops, that's a hundred seventy five grand!
That's a lot of jug wine and whores!
