Sounds like huge knee jerk and selective outrage over this whole deal.

Worse, our side is playing right into the left's hands.. from the onset, they have mischaracterized this entire fiasco and painted a false image in people's minds that
- 1. The ports themselves are being sold (in reality, only container storage facilities.)
- 2. UAE will be in charge of security.
- 3. We will be powerless over our security.
All of these perceptions are false, but the left has found a wedge issue and they are playing it up in a manner that Sun Tzu would be proud of. Having Jimmy Carter agree with President Bush was icing on the cake for the left. They knew if they did that, the rift would be as wide a the Pacific Ocean.
This deal isn't just about 'trusting President Bush' but think about all the people that would be involved that have put their stamp on this including Dr. Rice, Cheney, and countless others.. Do we suddenly not trust all of them because the MSM tells us what to think about this?

Neither. I was against the Red Chinese running ports and getting U.S. Technology for decades. But I get more worked up about other stuff. If I had to choose between the UAE/Dubai and the Red Chinese, I'll take the Arabs. If I can have neither, I'd go with neither and cross off something on the "To Do" list.
Now what to do about the Chicoms running the Panama Canal, and that nutbar Chavez . . .
