One country had people train the hijackers how to fly and they even lived in that country and based their operations out of that country.. yet we trust ourselves with our own security.

I'm afraid everyone is reacting to media reports on this without knowing all the facts... How many of us have seen the DHS reports on this? How many people have seen the background checks?

Somehow all of this seems to be quasi racism- if some sand monkey from Dubai helped terrorists, then every sand monkey in Dubai is a terrorist.

I'm not saying I agree with the sale, but I am frustrated with all the knee jerk reaction without any facts.

The administration has it's own PR offensive going on as well. I don't see any reason to believe them over anyone else.

I've been listening to the debate on every network. The deal stinks. For Bush to stake his Presidency on this by playing the veto card is nuts. What an insult to his supporters.

Facts: Most all terrorists whom we deal with are Arabs. All September 11 terrorist were Arabs. Most of the thousands who pour into the streets in the Middle East screaming for the blood of Americans are Arabs.

We are at war with Arabs...giving port security to Arabs at this point would be like giving port security to Nazis during the big war.

I'm sorry if that sounds racist, but I dare you to go to the middle East and poll the Arabs there. You will find that most of them hate our guts and would love to see our nation fall.

It is complete idiocy to even consider turning over port security to these people...but its starting to look like idiocy is the status quo for the Bush admin.
