I've heard that many autistic people have the ability to generate incredible focus on specific tasks. Evidently, Jason was able to channel his toward shooting the basketball.
For "one shining moment", at least.

BTW, I did a search and didn't turn up any hits.
Apologies if this is a duplicate thread.

I caught this on ABC this morning. Great video. I had tears running down my face. It is awesome. I bet the coach wishes he'd play'd him before this.

I saw the video yesterday - just amazing. And heartwarming. The link you provided for the station will pull up a page with a link to the video if anyone is interested.

I saw this on the early news this morning. I was impressed by the fact he was shooting mainly three-point shots. Was an amazing display of shooting.

I bet that coach went into his office and thought of all those close games he lost that the kid just sat there on the bench wanting to play.
Self-flaguation with a chainsaw chain soon followed...

Great story.
Reminds me of the Jake Porter story a couple years back.

I saw this on FNC and CNN (unfortunately, CNN did the better report).
I was literally tearing up seeing this. It was incredible. The kid is being treated like a rock star now, though he had a big cheering section as well at the beginning of the game.
