Bud you need to learn how to read through the atta-boy hype...to the meat of what politic-speak is truly saying.
Now having their own Special Forces component, Marines will directly support current SOF missions.....and begin new missions with different purposes.
The first half is the meat...the second half is the atta-boy hype.
But even with that you are trying to misrepresent what I said regarding this new Marine SOF Unit -
I clearly said they will be used as a stand alone force for a number of operations (just as Rangers are today). But one of their primary roles will be to provide direct security for other SOF units conducting DA.
