Listening to it right now on audiobook. Simply remarkable. I would venture that 95% of the American public has no idea of what goes on around the world on their behalf.

I was particularly struck by the account of the SF teams in the Philippines, how much autonomy they have in many cases to do what they can to help out the locals. In particular, the account of how one SF fellow saved the life of a seven year old girl with meningitis by giving her a Gatorade enema. This guy, a soldier. Just amazing.
