If theres one thing the world needed right now, its a fresh look at the presidents July bike crash.
As the president passed the junction at speed he raised his left arm from the handlebars to wave to the police officers present while shouting 'Thanks, you guys, for coming'.
"As he did this he lost control of the cycle, falling to the ground, causing both himself and his bicycle to strike (the officer) on the lower legs."
Im a bad person, but the whole mental image cracked me up.
Earlier this year Strathclyde Police issued three fines to cyclists as part of a crackdown on careless riders.
The scandal of Bush receiving special treatment needs a word with gate after it.

At least he didn't say afterwards, "I don't fall down, the SOB knocked me over."

Bush later telephoned the hurt policeman -- who damaged his ankle ligaments -- to ask how he was and to apologise. Compare to Kerry's "The SOB knocked me down".

Although the accident was reported at the time, the police incident report, published in the Scotland on Sunday newspaper, gives further insight into the chain of events. WELL! If we have to be subjected to "further insight into the chain of events" leading up to the President's bike crash, then I insist there be "further insight" into John "I don't fall down" Kerry's ski accident. You know, the one where he fell down, but didn't fall down?

I guess this posting shows that the Dick Cheney hunting accident / story is finally over, and there's no more mileage on that one for the MSM.

Meanwhile "the president continued along the ground for approximately five metres, causing himself a number of abrasions," it continued. This is just not true. The President of the United States falls in yards, not metres!

Wow, I can't believe the AFP via Yahoo scooped the NY Times on this crucial news! They'll have to follow up with a front page story about it tomorrow, no doubt.

Did Bush call the Washington Post and tell them about the accident?
And did he call them before or after he picked himself off the ground?
And would this have been more serious if the policeman had died?

I have a source close to the Administration who tells me Laura Bush killed a lady bug in 2002. The whole incident was quickly hushed up by the Rove Gestapo.

Typical of the left, living in the past, and everything is a scandal that deserves close scrutinization from Congress, conducted from and chaired by Rep. Conyers' (3WATT-MI) and his gargantuan gavel, televised by DNC-SPIN from his basement.
