More Americans abducted along Mexico border than in Iraq

LAREDO, Texas – This border area is one of the least publicized international crisis zones. More Americans have been kidnapped just in this area than in all of Iraq by Islamic terrorists.

Twenty-six Americans are now officially listed as missing in the Laredo-Nuevo Laredo region of the U.S.-Mexico border—in addition to the more than 400 Mexicans reported to be suffering a similar fate.

The number of American civilians missing or kidnapped in Iraq since the beginning of the war is 23 as of last September, the latest figure released by the State Department.

And then there are the executions.

Unlike Muslim jihadists, enforcers from the feuding Gulf and Sinaloa Mexican drug cartels favor off-camera basement executions and oil-drum burials.

“I’ve seen these barrels with bodies stuffed into them,” said a U.S. law enforcement official, who, like most here, spoke on condition of anonymity. “It’s horrible, but it is really happening.”

First acid is poured in to break up flesh and bone. Then the drum is filled with diesel fuel.

A match—that’s all it takes to turn a life into a heap of ashes.

How many of those unaccounted for have already been “processed” this way? Nobody here knows—or is eager to find out.

“The Mexican government has lost control along the border,” fumes Rick Flores, the youthful Webb County sheriff.

“They had 176 murders in Nuevo Laredo last year, and none of them have been solved. In the first less than six weeks of this year, there were another 27 murders. Again, none solved. At the rate they are going, the death toll will be over 300 by year’s end.”

My sister lives south of Victoria and she no longer goes out at night by herself for anything - even to the grocery store/ South Texas is overrun by illegals. Some of them just seeking a better way of life but many who are part of the drug cartels.

It's getting pretty bad here just south of Houston, too. Day workers at freeway intersections drinking beer at 10:00 am and urinating in the esplinades. Lots of illegals milling about on the streets at all times of day or night. It creeps me out. I keep my doors locked and the gun beside me loaded.

This is no longer the city I grew up in.

You are so right.

I can remember a time during the Reagan administration when we saw Border enforcement teams round up bus loads of illegals off of construction job sites and send them back.

We are no longer safe in our own neighborhoods because of illegal immigration. It's time to build the wall, put an armed military on the wall to defend it and shoot to kill anyone or anything trying to cross the border.

Does "intercepted" equal "arrested"? Does any gov't agency possess the bags?

Apparently not. Musn't start an international incident.

We should bomb the Mexican terrorist hide outs for any murder of Americans.

Prayers for Texgal... I was just in Houston this weekend and went down to Corpus.

It does appear to be a different Texas. Their music is played on FM radio, must mean that 40 Million have invaded the entire USA.

Pure machismo/bravado - they KNOW we can't/won't do anything, so they taunt. I'd love to read that our side said, "Sure, maricones!" and opened up with the .50 cals. Won't happen till something worse happens on the border.

I just know that someday someon will fire the first shot across the international border to create an international crisis.

Dude, it’s happening every day. Two agents were seriously wounded on the river by sniper fire about two months ago. An agent was ambushed last night in Nogales but managed to escape.

This is a war that’s been going on for 90 years. The press is just reporting on it now because they think it hurts the administration. It does.

They have a bounty on cayotes where I live..Perhaps a $2.00 per would eliminate the problem on the border.

Notice that you couldn't tell me of 5 or 10 US border agents that were murdered, as it happens in Israel.

You couldn't tell me of 20 border agent that were ambushed --- 10 killed/10 taken captive across the border.

Neither could you tell me of angry and ouraged US border agents that have taken action into their own hands and killed 10 legitimate/semi-legitimate Mexican Federal-ies / Mexican Soldiers.

That is war, my friend.

Until that day comes we won't have MSM attention.

When that day comes the wives, The Widows, of these murdered Border Agents will be on the O'Reilly Factor and Greta Van Susteren will forget about Aruba and Halloway.

If it bleeds then it leads.

The Mountain Lion in LA was bleeding after they tranquilized it.

"hey, you first. Yell "HANDS UP. YOU'RE UNDER ARREST""

"forget you, crazy coyote."

U.S. Forest Service fire fighters are battling a fire on the border in Cochise County, AZ right now. They are pulled off the line at night and sit at a Rally Point from which they can battle hot spots if necessary. Why, you ask?

According to a USFS spokeswoman, it's because the border is too dangerous to leave small parties of unarmed firefighters along it, unprotected.
