New York Sen. Hillary Clinton may be the star of the national Democratic Party, but her constituents back home say it's actually her New York colleague, Sen. Charles Schumer, who's doing the better job.
According to a poll released Wednesday by Strategic Visions LLC, 59 percent of New Yorkers approved of the job Schumer was doing, with just 30 percent disapproving.
That's better than the allegedly wildly popular Sen. Clinton, whose approval rating was 3 points lower than Schumer's, and whose disapproval rate was 2 points higher.
In another blow to the notion that Hillary Clinton is New York's most popular politician, the Strategic Vision poll found that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani could defeat Clinton in her Senate reelection bid.
In a head-to-head match-up, Giuliani garnered 45 percent of Empire State voters vs Hillary's 41 percent. In another bizarre finding, New Yorkers gave President Bush lower marks for his handling of the economy, which is generally considered to be booming, than for the Iraq war.
Just 23 percent approved of Bush's economic stewardship, with 67 percent giving him a thumbs down. On Iraq, Bush wins 25 percent approval and 64 percent disapproval.

LOL Don't think he will, he knows he would lose. He will be one of those life long senators for NY.
It would be interesting to know where the poll was taken, if it was in NYC or not. The rem *New Yorkers* can be applied to either NYSers or NYCers. If these statistics reflect NYC and not NYS, hillary is in deep doo-doo because NYC is the reason NY shows up as a blue state.
Good analogy. I was trying to think of an appropriate analogy but couldn't come up with one that wouldn't get the post deleted.
The fact that Schumer actually lives in NY and works on its behalf (when he's not grandstanding) doesn't change that.

Responding to goofy "polls" sure does make "americans" feel god-like.
Interesting results. The stats on Bush, Schumer, and Clinton all indicate a left lean but look at the opinion of those same people on the UAE port issue and terrorism.

Heh, my reaction to the comparison between Schumer and Hillary must be the same, something like a choice between poop and puke.
