Can't the phone company figure out where they really came from?
Telephone companies can trace calls to their origin regardless of the Caller ID information they carry, but the process is laborious, especially since a call may be carried by several companies before reaching its destination.
All they've got to do is figure out a few of these jokers and then shoot them publicly. It'll stop.
But, by golly, the FCC will sure spend lots of time and money trying to regulate how television service providers package their services.
There are far too many federal agencies that have no sense of priority!
Interesting. I live in Murphy's district. I have received numerous annoying recorded phone calls trashing Murphy--blaming him for high gasoline prices, trying to tie him to Jack Abramoff--whatever the democrat talking point du jour was, and all obviously scripted. However, none of them registered a number on the caller ID.
"The Federal Communications Commission has never investigated the issue, spokeswoman Rosemary Kimball said."
That says it all...
Democrats are such mean nasty people, it's a wonder any of them gets elected.
