Why is it I'm not surprised at all to see Duncan Hunter roll over for AlQaida and decide that we really don't need Dubai anymore ~ not as a foreign invester in our shipping infrastructure, and probably not as our primary base of operations for actions in Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East.

You have hit the nail directly on the head.

The terrorists ARE winning this one.

Absolutely. This whole deal was known about last October when the Wall Street Journal (according to Rush) published the news.

I suspect that the kvetching about this contract was timed to coincide with the demolition of the 8th most holy (and therefore expendable) Shi'ite mosque, and quite possibly with some other AlQaida action.

The first "newsies" off the dime with the the story, as well as the first politicians out the gate, are clearly revealed to be "persons of interest" to some serious investigators.

It really is long overdue for "W" to start rounding these people up for the duration.
