Ernie Pyle was in the trenches w/the soldiers. The imbedded reporters were like him imo. Many of the ones now 'reporting' seem to get the news from their weegie boards and the bars and the balconies of their hotels in the green zone.

Do you remember back when the war first started and how we could listen into the behind the scene chatter on the webcams between the reporters and the station headquarters .. and how Richard Engle would wake up and phone into NY to get the latest news to report on what was happening in Iraq ??
