Registered Nurses make over $30K less than Pharmacist? Is putting the right drugs in a bottle really worth almost $90K?

Probably has to do with the fact that being a Pharmacist requires a doctoratal level degree and being a nurse requires a 2-year degree from community college.
That being said, my mother is an RN and I think they are overworked, underpaid, and that management at most healthcare providers is to put it kindly, awful.
I can see why there is a nursing shortage.

I'll ask my brother. He makes well over $90K. A pharmacist does much much more than just put pills in a bottle.

The technology certainly exists today to automate pill dispensing. I suppose there are some ointments and suspensions that get mixed at the point of sale, but I am not sure that really requires 6 years of Education.

I saw a blurb on the news this morning on this very subject. The news anchor ended his report by informing us that there are widespread reports that
new graduates are having little trouble getting starting salaries of $110,000.
I swear, that's what the man said!
