all things must pass eh?
If I was a negotiator, I could give you a dollar amount the 10% drop in audience would cause, but alas, I am not. Spots are almost always purchased against audience delivery of a certain age group anyway (Adults, Males, Females.. 18-34, 18-49, 25-54)....never on Household numbers. The monetary effects of this audience drop are really more long-term and not really apparent until you get to next year's awards season. There are also non-audience specific factors. Similarly, Super Bowl spots are more costly if the two teams come from large markets or have a longstanding rivalry...same with the World Series.
As for your offing the disco..can't say I blame you. I have the Range Rover on very limited duty now. I dumped $45 worth of gas into it on Friday and watched half of it go bye-bye within 100 miles....And it just passed emissions with Flying colours. I know the motor is in prime shape and I don't drive like a maniac. That vehicle is a tank and it acts like one at the pump. When gas was a dollar cheaper, it didn't hurt as bad but I know that the RR is gonna last until they outlaw gas vehicles because I hardly ever drive it.
