I do not see why this is surprising. Democrats are virulent anti-gay when it suits their political purposes. Remember when they chased a Republican Senate candidate out of the 2002 race by suggesting he was homosexual. And, of course, the whole slander of Chaney's daughter in the last campaign. I would say this guy is mainline Democrat.

I don't think she's really suggesting that. I think she just means that he's a plant to make Democrats look bad. I don't think that's true, though. I think this guy's just a total idiot. I have no idea when he registered a Dem, but his whole platform, ranging from the insane (kill gays) to the normal (cut taxes), is the exact opposite of the Dem platform.

Smearing Democrats is not something the media cares to do because Democrats are good and this does not fit their stereotype of what a Democrat is. This guy is one of two Democratic Senate candidates. Give the guy the publicity he deserves.

This guy IS getting publicity. He was on TV and in the paper. Now, not being from Ohio, I have no idea what kind of TV station WTOL-TV or what kind of newspaper the Sandusky Register is, but if the media didn't want to make Dems look bad, they wouldn't have ran this story at all. However, I leave open the possibility that these are very tiny media outlets and the story may stay limited to them. I guess I'm just thinking out loud more than anything.

Romans 1 Paul clearly says that homosexuals deserved death. He did not tell Christians to create laws for it, though, but he said it does deserve death.

Paul didn't write the Constitution and our laws aren't based on a holy book.
