However, homosexuality and murder were both endorsed as being worthy of Capital Punishment in the New Testament by Paul.
Jesus did not come to Judge the world as yet, but to save it, His message was to repent and be saved. So was Paul, but Paul also spelled out just how bad some sins were.
Romans 1 Paul clearly says that homosexuals deserved death. He did not tell Christians to create laws for it, though, but he said it does deserve death.

Paul didn't write the Constitution and our laws aren't based on a holy book.

Right. My point isn't that anyone doesn't deserve death.
My point is that we're not necessarily holy or worthy enough to kill each other.
