Remember when the Republicans won control of the House, then the laws that applied to the rest of US did not apply to the House members.

I am not sure that it is a federal crime for a sitting senator to leak classified intel, the crime might be when the person receiving the leak makes it public.

I do not see any of these sitting senators being prosecuted for anything regarding leaking classified intel. That seems to be why they are in our faces with their lying accusations, because they are more equal than the rest and the supposed loyal opposition = untouchable.

We have NOT seen one of them willing to leak the Barrett report, yet intel on national security that is classified for a reason is typical conversation with these on any given day.

The only out for a Senator is for words spoken on the floor of the Senate, for which he can only be question by the Senate.

The law has independent criminal provisions for leakers and publishers. When the law is broken on leaking, it may or may not ALSO be broken (by a different person) by publication. But publication is not a prerequisite to finding a crime for leaking.

Remember when the Republicans won control of the House...

I vaguely remember.

When was it that they lost control?

It is a federal felony for anyone transmitting classified data to someone who does not posses the adequate level of security clearance AND the need to know. Anyone possessing a security clearance knows it is a crime - did the Senators make an exception for themselves when the law was written? I would doubt it. If Rocky passed classified information to someone not cleared to receive it he has committed a crime - will he be prosecuted? You and I know the answer to that.
