'They may even say you're angry ... wear it as a badge of honor.'

Hil's born to be riled

BY ADAM LISBERG DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

Sen. Hillary Clinton embraced her angry side yesterday, saying Republican policies make her so mad that she and her husband sometimes sit around yelling at the TV set.

"I do yell from time to time at my television set," Clinton (D-N.Y.) confessed to a friendly crowd of donors. "Now that Bill and I have TiVo, we just rewind it and yell all over again."

It was her strongest response yet to last month's gibe from the head of the Republican Party that she "seems to have a lot of anger" - an attack that she said was typical against Democratic women running for office.

"They may call you names. They may impugn your patriotism. You know, they may even say you're angry," Clinton told 450 women, most of them black or Latino, at a breakfast at the Sheraton New York that raised almost $100,000 for her Senate campaign.

"If they do that, wear it as a badge of honor, because, you know what, there are lots of things that we should be angry and outraged about in our country today," she said.

After Clinton said on Martin Luther King Day this year that the House of Representatives was run "like a plantation," Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman told a TV talk show that America wouldn't elect an angry candidate.

"I don't think the American people, if you look historically, elect angry candidates," Mehlman said. "When you look at [Clinton's] level of anger, I'm not sure it's what Americans want."

I personally am angry that the people of New York saw fit to elect a socialist, power-mad, conniving, law-breaking witch to the Senate!

Well, I'm ouraged over Mrs. Clinton. How's that? that's MY "badge of honor."

My word, Senator Clinton has all the appeal of an empty oil can.

'They may even say you're angry ... wear it as a badge of honor.'

Retroactive vindication for the "angry white males" of the 90s?

"Now that Bill and I have TiVo, we just rewind it and yell all over again."

Nope. No issues there.

Angry, bitter, resentful... who wouldn't want a 50+ woman running their lives?

They don't have to masculinize her; she's reached that goal years ago.

Just more duplicity from the Left.

Remember the "angry white males throwing a temper tantrum" comment from Katie Couric when the republicans took control of the House in '94?

Can't we all just put aside our differences and have a great big group hug?

Who believes that Hill and Bill actually watch their TiVo together? I seriously doubt that Bill is sitting still for the Oxygen Network, and there is nothing for Hill on the Playboy Channel.

I aint buyin it.
