"You're understanding of the Christian religion is quite troubling."

Your understanding is equally troubling. Christ said to love one another as he has loved us. Perhaps in some other universe, love means murder, but not in this one.

That's the point. It would be no more murderous than sentencing a killer or rapist if it was a capital offense. No one here is advocating "killing" practicing homosexuals. The discussion is....... is it a capital offense to the state biblically.

Even if you say it isn't today, be carefull how you ridicule it. No one will deny that God himself declared it to be to Moses himself.

The discussion would then be.... does God still expect the state to continue?

Um, yep, God so loved the world, he sent the Flood to wipe out all evil people (& the babies with the bathwater).

Then Sodom&G got "tough love" from God.

God instructed the Israelites to do similar tough love on those in the 'promised land', not even sparing the livestock ("man and beast").

The God says in the future, the world will undergo the Tribulation (because of sin), destroy the world by fire, etc.

Yep, you are right guy. God sure never would condone violence or death penalty for sin.

Yep, yep, ahuh, yep.
