Oberweis is tanking fast, and his numbers will soon follow. He's not made it above 17% this whole time and people know him.

Brady is gaining momentum with endorsements and highest possible ratings from groups like Citizens for Life, the Illinois Center Right Coalition, State Rifle Association, and a laundry list of others.

We HAVE to have somebody that can win downstate Democrats in November and that won't be someone as divisive as Oberweis has become. Brady is our only chance as conservatives.

Watch this next week: It will soon become clear that this is a race between Moderates and Conservatives and the conservative that can win is Brady.

Welcome to Free Republic.

I'm voting Oberweis. Brady may personally see to it that Topinka wins.

I'll tell you flat out, if Brady turns out to be the reason Topinka gets the nod, there are many of us who will not forget.

He'd better be damn certain he is going to pull an historic upset of monumental proportions, or be very content with his current seat. Because if he brings us Topinka and then expects support for a Senate run in 2008, he's got another thing coming.

Oberweis is tanking fast?

Every poll I've seen shows him gaining ground! Not one single poll has more than 5% behind Judy.

Add that to the fact that even the most recent poll has Brady in single digits, and you have a problem. Brady is going to be the Ralph Nader of the IL GOP Primary.

This nonsense about his "overwhelming last second momentum" and this invisible "avalanche of support" is going to put Topinka on the ticket. Despite, the deepest wishes of Brady backers, there is no chance for Brady. There is no typhoon of people moving to the state just in time to register to vote for Bill Brady, or any magical formula lie that.

Brady is going to prove Topinka right to everybody that matters in the IL GOP, and all the donors. She says only a moderate Republican in her mold can win a statewide election, and Brady is about to help cement that in everybody's mind all in the hope of having a slightly better-than-expected turnout to propel his 2008 u.S. Senate campaign to follow.

He could run for dogcatcher against Hillary Clinton and I won't vote for him if he is the reason Topinka wins.

He'd better be damn sure of this invisible 20%+.

Amen Frustrated. Brady also has support of some GOP organizations and IL gun people and newspapers such as the Champaign's News-Gazette.

I think that Oberweiss is done for - toast. He has turned this race into a definite embarassment and I hope that he runs away like Carol Mosley Braun.

Go Brady Go!
