Titans, do you have a more recent poll? No one else seems to in IL. I haven't seen one since about mid-February and it's now mid-March (almost). I don't think that Brady is in the single digits.

Brady also has a STRONG grass roots campaign where the others do not. Oberweiss IS tanking. If there are polls (recent, past few days) to say that he's not, please post the link so we can see it.

I believe that Brady will pull the upset of the year and that Looserweiss has lost support. His negativity has turned off many of the undecided voters AND have turned them on to Brady.

Looserweiss has made a mockery of the process and should bow out now to give a true class act a chance.

Goodbye Looserweiss and hello Governor Brady

"Brady also has a STRONG grass roots campaign where the others do not."

From my experience, it is Oberweis who has a strong grass roots campaign. Two weeks ago, I went to South Cook county. Five Republican organizations held meetings where the different candidates or their representatives spoke. Oberweis had about twenty volunteers there (including me). The other campaigns had NO volunteers. Tom Roeser a couple of days ago commented that Oberweis has the best organization.

Exactly, Richard.

If Brady has the grassroots campaign, why don't I ever see nearly as many people out for him as Oberweis? This whole campaign, all I've heard is Brady folks having trouble recruiting, but not understanding why - after all, Brady's "the most conservative candidate," so by all rights he should be the grassroots guy, so what gives? I live in friggin' DuPage county, for crying out loud, where Brady should be overflowing with volunteers. Last I checked, he doesn't even have a local HQ; Oberweis had to open a second one in Lisle because he had so much support out here!

Brady is a great guy, but you must realize he's never polled even third in the race. Do you realize how impossible it would be to overcome three opponents in a four-way-race when you're starting from last place and in single digits?

Listen to me: Brady is going to put Topinka on the ticket, and then we are screwed. And do not be mistaken, his goal is not winning this election, which nobody really believe he is going to do. His goal is to perform well enough to make himself the Conservative front-runner for 2008 in the U.S. Senate race against Dick Durbin. If he succeeds in doing what it sure looks like he's going to do in 12 days, you'd better damn well believe he'll never get that shot, because every Conservative in the state outside of his campaign is going to remember his role in 2006.
