To: Srirangan
It's just the lastest chapter in the thousand-year-old slaughter of Indians by muslims, isn't it? I've read that 80 million were murdered between 1000 AD and 1500 AD.

Have you ever heard that before, Srirangan, and can you cite a reliable source for me? I need it.

I haven't read Will Durant's "Our Oriental Heritage" but here's one chilling excerpt, the only one I can find:

The Islamic conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. It is a discouraging tale, for its evident moral is that civilization is a precious good, whose delicate complex of order and freedom, culture and peace, can at any moment be overthrown by barbarians invading from without or multiplying within. --Will Durant

Islamic conquest of India has been extremely bloody. Not just India but Afghanistan itself was hindu at a point of time, and Iran was following Zorastrianism. Islamic conquests of all these regions has been nothing short of genocide.
