I can't think of any storms that moved 174 MPH.

These sorts of weather patterns often extend over hundreds of miles, and especially in the summer months they can develop around you.

For an account of what it was like to operate scheduled service under such conditions in the era when typical passenger aircraft such as a DC3 cruised at around these speeds and altitudes Earnest K. Gann's "Fate is the Hunter" (the book, NOT the movie) still has no equal.

IMO the idea of attempting to operate a 200 meter rigid airship under such conditions is simply nuts.
