I'm no lawyer, but the documents the FBI has handed over are heavily redacted.That probably let's the FBI pursue the case w/o concern of compromise.

The AnimalScam.com website has the redacted pages, there's much more not there than there.Looks like the FBI is very serious about this,IMO.They're definitely pulling the ACLU's chain.
