Thank you. Now we just have to make sure the word gets out. I'm working on it.

BTW... I find the "we don't want to embarass our allies" argument PARTICUALLY laughable this week after we SPIT in the face of our main arab ally in the MiddleEast "because they are a-rabs and we don't take kindly to their kind 'round here"

if (heaven forbid) the 'Rats re-take Congress or even the presidency in the next couple of election cycles

then the truth never will come out, and a false history will be solidified in the leftwing dogma taught to our children. In a time of war, and we can still lose this one, I believe that politics and national security necessarily converge.

It would take 1,000 agents 3 hours to listen to the tapes....

Seems this is important enough to call em in for weekend duty.

That presupposes we have 1,000, trustworthy agents (or even military intelligence types)that understand Arabic sufficiently to be reliable translators and with enough analysis ability to spot the "good stuff" as they listened to and translated the stuff.

All this takes is an order from the President. Declassify and release all documents and let the chips fall where they may. If it embarrasses our allies or the previous administration(s), so be it. Our crediblity should not suffer just to cover France/GermanyRussia's collective @ass.

I agree. Declassify and release it all.

Russia might have helped Saddam spirit his WMDs to Syria.

IIRC, I have a couple of bookmarked articles on just that. If you'd like to see them, tell me, I'll dig 'em out for you.

I concur. And keep in mind, if these are not released by January 2009, and the next administration is (God have mercy) a Dem, those papers will be shredded faster than you can say "yes your higness"...

Thanks, but there's little doubt that I've already seen them. I monitor this stuff pretty closely.

I wonder if one of out "allies" that might be "embarrassed is Negroponte and the NIA... and how do they "own the documents"?

And why are not the libs screaming to have them released - they're so big on 'disclosure"...or are they in league with keeping them under wraps, perhaps knowing, or highly suspecting the WMD might be 'in there"?

Also - If the security counsel wants to see the docs - is not Negroponte required to provide them?

Is Negroponte and his dept. higher up than the Pres. or the security counsel?

He sounds like someone covering butt or with a king complex.

In addition - how is that only about 3% (!) of the docs have been translated! Seems they aren't even looking for information. Is it because they already know some things that will be in there that will prove embarrassing to THEM? - or that will back up Bush's whole premises?

Where does Negroponte get the authority to make the decision what should and what shall not be released at least to the Pres. and the sec. council?

Amen - hard letters and phone calls make a deeper impression than just emails - but blitz every way to everyone....

make them aware that we are aware

Not sure if its some "big players" who have too much invested in the "Bush Lied" line

I suspicion that's part of the equation

okay, let's play with the numbers.

1000 agents take 3 hours (each, I assume)='s 3000 hours

OR

10 agents 300 hours each ='s 3000 hours (7.5 weeks each)

Doesn't seem to daunting or unreasonable in the name of National security - and they had 4 years

Don't I remember Colin Powell showing satellite photos of the truck convoy going from Iraq to Syria etc etc - what became of that? Not to mention the testimony and book of one of Saddam's scientists that says some went via truck convoy, come via air lift to Damascus - on way to Lebanon???Why is the MSM and the lobs squashing this

But that's just the tapes, there's also those "millions of pages of other documents". Those too have to be translated and analyzed. Machine translation usually bites, but in this case it might help at least so that stuff could be "data mined" by computer, and then anything interesting that shows up manually translated.
