Milosevic was twice elected by majority votes. There are many Americans accusing W of being a dictator, but neither he or Milosevic, or Putin, or Blair were in fact dictators.

Milosevic was the elected leader of SERBIA, the most Democratic country in Europe then and may still be. They have a high percentage mix of minorities, and it's where all the refugees ran to as a first choice.

I'll be satisfied when revisionist historians stop referring to Milosevic as a "great man". You do realize that President Bush told Yugoslavia they had to hand over Milosevic to the international war crimes tribunal or risk losing US aid. I am assuming you are sincerely mistaken in your claim that no trial evidence was presented which indicated he was indeed linked to atrocities. As you said there was almost 5 years worth of evidence to go over. Besides which as commander of the Yugoslav Army Milosevic cannot possibly claim ignorance of abuses going on under his command (ie. Yamashita). I am curious as to why you have such passion in defending Milosevic. I would highly suggest anyone reading this topic to look into the issue themselves and they can decide whether mass murder occured in an organized fashion as perpetrated by the Yugoslav Army under the leadership of President Slobodan Milosevic
