I would like to know how and why the Girls Gone Wild infomercials are allowed on basic cable TV. They are far and away the most sexually explicit things on TV, with emphasis on lesbian action. I suspect that most of the people that would take action on such things don't even know it's on general cable and available to any kids that may be up then.

They are hardly any worse than daytime soaps or the average show on Univision. Doesn't mean I'd be proud to see my daughter on one, though.

I had never seen one of those commercials until I was up late one night with my newborn. I was pretty shocked that that type of thing was allowed on the air. And I don't think there's any way to block it since it's a commercial. Disgusting.

They are on only late at night. And if a kid does see them, the obvious solution is to tell him to go to bed, and if a parent can't do that, they ought not to be busying themselves with cable TV but with supervising their kids. If you personally have a problem with them, change the channel.

The world does not revolve around the tastes of children, except perhaps those we elect to public office or Hollywood puts in the movies.
