Depends where you are. It was on the local news here. Some students from a local college were joining that group. The point is not whether it makes the news. Few good news stories do. The point is that a bunch of kids are NOT drinking, having sex, and otherwise behaving badly during Spring Break. That's the point.
The news doesn't cover much of that sort of thing. You can change that by contacting your local news provider and insisting that they do so. If enough people do that, you'll see this news.
Whether it's on the news or not, it's happening.
I did a search on Google News for "alternative spring break" (no quotes). Turns out there are a lot of MSM outlets covering this story. It's easy to say that they're not covering it, when they actually are. It's good to check.
