I like these:
Speaking of the Dems...
"Theyre trying to convince you that theyre for more homegrown energy they just dont want to explore for it, drill for it, produce it, refine it, transport it, or let you use it.
Theyre trying to sell you on better health care but they want to take prescription drugs away from seniors, put government between you and your doctor, and protect trial lawyers frivolous lawsuits.
They want you to believe they favor education reform that is, unless it involves more choice, higher standards and more accountability.
And heres the biggest whopper of them all: They claim the mantle of fiscal responsibility, but their solution to every problem is the same: You pay more taxes. "
...shrinking deficit...we saw that our economy created 243,000 new jobs last month, bringing the total for the last 30 months up to nearly 5 million (almost all of which went to non-citizens in the service industries)...we need to reduce taxation, regulation and litigation to keep jobs here (why have the Pubbies allowed increased taxation, ever denser regulation through layered bureaucracy and consistantly killed all attempts at tort reform?)...we will double our investment in scientific and basic research and recruit 70,000 more math and science teachers. Invest where and where are you recruiting from? Does that work like the Haitian nurses who think a frog under your pillow draws out bad spirits?...they want to take prescription drugs away from seniors (Defending the still-contested "free drugs for old people" socialism. Shouldn't have gone there.)...
And heres the biggest whopper of them all: They claim the mantle of fiscal responsibility, but their solution to every problem is the same: You pay more taxes.
The biggest problem of all - discerning the difference between the Democrat mission to have us pay for thousands of frivolous programs or the Republicans' kowtowing to the Democrats' demands and finding our collective wallet just as empty. The facts are in and it's damn true that this Administration and Congress has no precedent in spending our money in all of U.S. history.
I'm sorry, "Fair Opinion", but until I see actual responsibility, courage and reform I'll have to regard your Republican Party as a major contributor to our problems because of their total adherence to the status quo. Most of our representatives wouldn't dare rock the boat even as it's going over the falls. We deserve better.
I almost thought you're suggestion of Jeb/Condi was a jest until I remembered that your fairness of opinion stops when it comes to diverging from the Republican Party's. Three times doesn't cement a dynasty, does it? Why would you wish that on America?
PING for great speech, especially the bold defense of GWOT.
...
"They call it quote strategic redeployment.
The Democrats are great at this game.
Before it was strategic redeployment, it was exit strategy. "
Yup.
"Exit strategy" is an oxymoron... 'exit' is not much of a strategy for anything except handing victory to the enemy. That is called a 'rout' or 'defeat' or 'running away' or 'cut n run', but it is never a 'strategy.
there is no 'exit strategy' on Iraq except "victory" or "quitting".
Which do you want - victory or quitting?
How come one can't find the word "immigration" in there anywhere.
Must not be a problem.
I think that one was the best, thanks for the transcript.
