I've tried several of the statins and Crestor is the only one that didn't make me ache all over and feel like crap. I haven't tried Lipitor, so I'm not sure about it.Unexplained muscle weakness, besides pain, can be a symptom of rhabdomyolysis.
Statin-related adverse events: a meta-analysis.

Interesting article, but I'm skeptical. The only research cited is that done by the author. The author implies a conspiracy by drug companies and "uninformed" doctors, that is preventing the author's theories from being mainstream. That's a big red flag for me.

The only woman friend I have who has had a heart attack (at age 50) and has several stents has a natural cholesterol level of 120 without drugs.

I have read studies that say
cholesterol drugs may cause more harm than good...they even may cause cancer! Statin drugs have serious side effects that are worth learning about before taking drugs such as Lipitor or Crestor. I am getting to the point where I almost don't want to take anything anymore.
