I'm not sure how that benefits Russ. He might win the democRAT nomination, but he's being to Hillary's left is guaranteed to lose the election.

1) Leftists don't understand that the people reject their stupid ideas, that's why they keep losing.

2) Even if he does understand it, Feingold has to win the primary or else he has no chance at the general, so he'll do whatever it takes to get there, including bringing down his own party.

How the heck can Feingold label Democrats chicken when he wouldn't even stand to debate his resolution. His grandstanding move, rather than enhancing his status, served to demonstrate his true colors as one unfit to lead.

I heard someone say on the radio the other day, the irony is rich, a liberal democrat who shat upon the First Amendment, trying to bring false charges against a sitting President accusing him of shredding the Bill of Rights, and the President is the one who did not exercise the veto to stop his desecration of the First Amendment in the first place.

I support President Bush on a lot of things, but his failure to veto the McCain-Feingold bill just disappointed me to no end. If THAT isn't an impingement on the First Amendment...there is no such thing.
