'Chronicles of Narnia' was my favorite...of course it was practically the only recent film I paid to go see. I heard it won three Oscars in some minor categories. Anyone know which? I was at an evening church service during the telecast.
The instant-classic
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was only nominated for three Oscars. It won only one, for "Achievement in Makeup." Both of the other two categories
Narnia was up for, "Achievement in Sound Mixing," and "Achievement in Visual Effects" were won by
King Kong.
One of the best-crafted examples in years of the full potential that movies have to create sheer magic (and not coincidentally, one of the biggest box-office successes in years) took home ONE Oscar for Makeup.
Hollywood isn't really about movies anymore, it's just about peddling deviant dreck and political propaganda.
