Sandy Berger, former national security adviser to ex-president Bill Clinton, is poised to join hedge fund DB Zwirn as a special adviser.

DB Zwirn, a US-based investment fund, is thought to have hired Mr Berger to gain access to his network of business and government contacts as it eyes new investment opportunities.

The hedge fund, whose strategies include investing in M&A arbitrage, debt and mezzanine finance, is considering making infrastructure asset investments. Mr Berger would be expected to help with introductions to various government officials.

Mr Berger served as deputy assistant to the US president for national security during Mr Clinton's first term in office. He was involved in helping formulate a wide variety of foreign, security and economic policies.

He also worked as an informal adviser to John Kerry during his presidential campaign in 2004.

Mr Berger had to quit Mr Kerry's team after the disclosure of a criminal investigation into whether he mishandled terrorism documents.

He was eventually sentenced to community service and fined $50,000 for illegally removing highly classified documents from the National Archives and destroying some of them.

Before his service in the Clinton administration, Mr Berger was a partner at the Washington law firm Hogan and Hartson. He headed its international trade group.

Unbelieveable! Simply un-fishing-beleivable! Sometime it just makes a person want to give up.

Well .. if I had any money in that "fund" it would already be moved somewhere else.

Any company that hires a convicted felon is very loose on character.

DB Zwirn

One more name to add to my "Do not recommend to clients" list.

I'm trying to figure out a way to commit a felony, impair an investigation and find my way to fame and riches. It probably won't work because I'm not a democrat.

Berger... oh ya, I remember him, the: "I don't know how those top secret papers got in my socks" guy. Shame, shame on them for hiring him.

Isn't it redundant to say "disgraced" and "Former Clinton Advisor"? I mean, what with the price of ink these days...

"Berger... oh ya, I remember him, the: 'I don't know how those top secret papers got in my socks' guy. Shame, shame on them for hiring him."

Hopefully, Berger's employment contract includes a mandatory strip search every time he leaves the office.

Of course, his boss is a big Dem donor:

Daniel B Zwirn; Managing Partner; D.B. Zwirn & Co; DNC; $25,000.

I guess investment firms have nothing to do with national security.

Why isn't Sandy Berger in jail?

I'll tell you why.

Both parties are knee neck deep in the continuing takeover of our sovereign nation for the purpose of a one world government. Flame or mock me, just look at the facts at what has happened in the the last 20/80 years (I could go back farther if you wish). It IS coming to fruition.

I have updated my FMCDH (From My Cold Dead Hands) sign-off with the addition of (BITS).....Blood In The Streets, which I foresee coming soon, due to the enormous increase of the Marxist progressive movement being shoved down the throat of this failing REPUBLIC through the Judicial tyranny of fiat law, the passing of unconstitutional laws by the Legislative and Executive branches of our government and the enormous tax burden placed upon the average American to support unconstitutional programs put forth by Marxist ideology.

(This is rather old, but nothing has really changed)

I do not advocate revolution. I only think of what I foresee.

and mezzanine finance

Mezzanine finance? That being a euphemism for just what kind of scam?

Unfortunately, this is how our world works. This would not dissuade me from investing.
