Habitat for Humanity is basicly a mortgage compaany. They would never give her a house. You still have to meet certain credit and income standards. The loans are often at 0% and the cost is reduced. On the other hand how many home builders and financiers get millions in donations, celebrity do-gooder publicity and free labor? Trust me the management of HFH is not going without.
