New UK Law: Restaurants Must Permit Gays to Publicly Exhibit Affection

Bed and Breakfasts Must Admit Homosexual Couples

LONDON – A new UK law prohibits restaurants from preventing homosexuals from public displays of affection under pain of prosecution. The same law mandates that bed and breakfasts and hotels give rooms to same-sex couples or face legal backlash.

The Department of Trade and Industry announced the new rules Monday, which also forces retail shops to grant wedding registry lists to same-sex couples. The law expands previous provisions against discrimination in the workplace to include guaranteed access to “goods, facilities and services” for homosexuals. The new rules place homosexual disposition on an equal footing with race and gender.

Trade Secretary Alan Johnson told the Times, “I want to make sure that no one gets refused a room at a hotel or a table in a restaurant because of their sexuality.”

It's behavior, Alan, and not status.

This would drive me out of the Bed and Breakfast business...most of these are small businesses run out of the home. No one from the government tells me who I have to put under my roof and what I have to wash off of my sheets.

NOW HEARD IN UK EATERIES: "Waiter! Waiter! Could you please give us a wet towel so I can wipe the feces off my partner? During our public affection using anal "sex" on the table things got a little messy!"

I knew there was a reason why I'd been doing more cooking at home.

I don't know why they would want to publicly display affection when they have to know that 99% of the public finds that utterly disgusting. Or maybe that's why they want to do it.

Given their penchant for taking things to the extreme, this could have some, er, interesting ramifications.

Guess I'll mark London off my list of places to visit. Who wants to spend a couple thousand bucks to go watch queers making out while you're trying to eat?

Yet.

Oh YUK & Barf!

It's even bad taste for heterosexual couples to be making out in public. Get real, Britain! Regain some of your old class and respect!

And we let a UK company to run four of our ports? Time to rethink that, innit?

I have a feeling that not even the reasonable limits that a society would impose on heterosexual public displays of affection will apply to homosexuals anymore. Under pain of prosecution? I wouldn't even try to stop them from having sex in the doorway!

The UK just sinks further and further into the abyss of marxist political correctness.

No wonder their official "church" promotes boycotts against Israel.

Take a good look at our future everyone. The foundation for this is already in place. We were too weak and blind to stop it.

Yeah. British food was hard to eat before this law!

You've hit the nail on the head. Also, keep jamming it down our throats and eventually we'll "grow" to accept it. Geesh!
